Wayne Duffield, Board Member at PGA

Wayne Duffield was born and raised on the family farm at Darkan, and began working alongside his father and brother after leaving school at the end of 1977. With nearly five decades in agriculture, Wayne has evolved his operation from sheep farming for wool and meat in the early years to a mixed enterprise incorporating cropping.

Wayne has been a long-standing contributor to his local community, serving as a member, committee member and club officer across numerous sporting clubs. He currently serves as Chairman of the local Community Building Fund, which raises money for community projects in the Darkan area.

Wayne joined the PGA board to bring the practical experience of a lifetime in farming to industry advocacy; supporting the PGA’s commitment to free markets, sensible management and strong representation for farmers in their dealings with government and the wider community.

  • Board Member of the Pastoralists and Graziers Association of WA, contributing close to fifty years of on-farm experience across sheep and cropping enterprises.
