PGA WELCOMES NEW BARNETT CABINET
2013-03-20
Western Australia’s leading rural lobby group, the Pastoralists and Graziers Association (PGA), has welcomed the appointment of five new Ministers in the new Barnett Government Cabinet.
"We are confident that we will be able to successfully work with this new Cabinet to ensure that the interests of pastoralists and farmers are fairly represented in State Parliament,” PGA President Rob Gillam said today.
“In particular we welcome the appointment of Ken Baston as Agriculture Minister, Albert Jacobs as Environment Minister and the reappointment of Brendon Grylls as Minister for Lands and Regional Development,” he said.
“The PGA will be organising meetings with these and other key Ministers to provide each of them with a brief on the major issues facing the pastoral and agricultural industries.”
