FREE information session on BJD in Broome this week on Thurs 22 June - 10am to 12 noon at the Mangrove Hotel. 

Just a reminder that the PGA has coordinated an industry BJD Update Meeting on Thurs 22 June to be held at the Mangrove Hotel in the Durack Room - the same venue as the PLB meeting being held that afternoon. 

Both Tony Seabrook (PGA President) and Locky McTaggart (PGA Vice President and Pastoral Chairman) will be attending both meetings. 

All livestock producers and industry stakeholders are welcome to attend.  Frances Gartrell - WA Extension Manager Livestock Biosecurity Network will provide advice on the current situation regarding BJD and how to meet the J-BAS requirements for your business needs.  AGWA staff and vets will also be in attendance. 

Producers will be given a Biosecurity Plan template at the meeting which they can complete during the session.  This will enable you to prepare the Biosecurity Plan required to obtain a J-BAS score and required for LPA accreditation. 

The Dept of Lands (PLB) meeting for pastoralists will commence after this meeting at 1pm - and is an invitation only meeting for pastoral lessees.
